The Elusive Layout and the Tricky Trixie.

I have 15 minutes to write this post before my class starts… so let’s see if i can do this. Ha!

I finally finished this layout after days of agonizing over it, but I just sat down and did it last night in about a half an hour. Go figure. Here’s the infamous layout:

My favorite part- the star border that started everything:

The title stamped with the Jett alpha from Napa Valley in versamark and clear embossed:

Supplies: Kit- Studio Calico (Napa Valley), Ink- Tsukineko (Versamark) and Ranger (Vintage Photo Distress Ink), Embossing Powder- Ranger (Clear), Marker- Copic (Multiliner Black .3), Thread- DMC, Star Punches- American Girl Crafts (Small Star) and Stampin’ Up! (Larger Star).

Random story from my day: I ran into a friend that I hadn’t seen in a couple months while buying lunch. He asked me how I was doing, and after we talked about how much finals stink for a couple seconds, he asked what else is new. I said, “Oh! Well we got a cat!” and he laughed and pulled up he sleeves to show me a whole but of scratch marks. He replied, “I did too.” We had a good laugh about our cat-related injuries and then said goodbye. As much as I love my cat, she is totally a little stinker… I’ve lost track of how many scratches I have on me now. I’m hoping she’ll eventually figure out that she can’t climb my legs when I’m wearing shorts. I hope.

Here’s a shot of her yesterday sitting on my computer and stealing all the attention:

Yeah see that menu to the left on the computer? I don’t even know what that does, but her butt brought it up. She’s nuts, I swear. Did I tell you that yesterday she took a BITE out of my PIZZA when I wasn’t looking? Yeah. Nutso cat.

Okay, speed writing over. Must run to econ now… oy!

Trixie is totally cute. I LOVE cats. Unfortunately hubby is allergic. I guess I could trade him in though if I was guaranteed a kitty as cute as Trixie. Love the stitching details on the layout.

  2. Okay, I’m terribly allergic to cats, but I want to pet Trixie so bad! She looks exactly like our cat (yes, we have one even though I’m allergic) did when he was young! Love orange cats- they are so cute!
