I’m back in my home sweet home at school for now and ready to unpack all my things and get some real crafting done. I wasn’t sure when I was going to be back, so I told my boss I wouldn’t be back to work until Thursday. Thank goodness- this gives me time to recoup after a day of traveling and collect myself after being around family for two weeks. I love my family so much, but sometimes being alone is nice. :) So tomorrow is a day to go grocery shopping (because there is literally no food in this house), organize my room, and play with new Hero Arts stamps and my Studio Calico January box. So. Freaking. Excited. Anyways, on to today’s card. I’ll call it “I wanna go sledding”:
This is a pretty simple card. Watercoloring + embossing in the background (like in yesterday’s video tutorial), the bunny colored with colored pencils, cut out, and placed on the hills (cut from Vintage Cream cardstock), and the card base created with my Martha Stewart score board (using the diagonal envelope guide and scoring every 1/4″), some Fine Linen cardstock, and Tea Dye distress ink to emphasize the creases. Watercolor + bunny + scoring. Simple and pretty:
Supplies: Cardstock – Papertrey Ink (Fine Linen and Vintage Cream), Watercolor Paper- Canson, Watercolors- Prang, Colored Pencils- Prismacolor, Stamps- Lawn Fawn (Frosties and Winter Bunny), Ink- Tsukineko (Versamark) and Ranger (Spice Tin by Jenni Bowlin Studios and Tea Dye Distress Ink by Tim Holtz), Embossing Powder (Silver), Corner Rounder- WRMK, Other- Martha Stewart Scoring Board.
By the way, something like this would fit the theme perfectly of the current Lawnscaping Challenge: All About Snow. Make sure to go check out the challenge and make your own snow-inspired card. You’ll be entered to win a Lawn Fawn stamp set of your choice!
Okay, I’m wiped out. Time to lay in bed and watch some Bravo. :)
