Another Layout.

Today has been an incredibly unproductive day for me. Argh! I hate it when that happens. I’m hoping to buckle down tonight and get a little ahead for next week, though. Hoping to have No-Stress Distress #12 up tomorrow! You’re going to loveeee this card, I swear. ;) Anyways, I wanted to share this layout with ya today. It’s using the current Studio Calico kit, and the next reveal is tomorrow, so I figured I better get this posted. Hehe. Here’s the layout:

Don’t you just love that diecut paper? Love!

And those doilies and butterflies from Cosmo Cricket. So lovely!

Supplies: Kit – Studio Calico (March 2011 Kit), Patterned Paper – KI Memories, Diecut Doilies and Butterflies – Cosmo Cricket (Social Club Collection), Letter Stickers – Sassafras, Thread – DMC, Pen – Signo.

I’m feeling motivated to tape a couple videos tonight, so we’ll see how that goes. Crossing my fingers that they turn out well! Thank you so much for the sweet comments and tweets over the past couple days. It means a ton to me, and it’s kind words and hugs that get me through tougher times like this. It’s a combination of gloomy weather and excessive stress (with friends and school), so I know it will get better soon. There’s a light at the end of the tunnel! I just need to keep going and keep smiling. Now, if someone could just send some warm weather and sunshine this way, that would be great. ;)

I have something very exciting to share with you this coming week! You’re going to love it, I know it. It just may have something to do with this sweetheart. Maybe. ;) So excited!

Love,

Britta

  1. Amazing layout Britta!! The colors are beautiful & I love what you did with the kit!

  2. So I’m staring at this 12×12 paper in front of me. Trying so hard to get a layout done! I see yours and think, why is this is hard for me to get started? Well, if you can do this w/ school and your blog and everything, I should honestly be able to get at least one layout done today! I have nothing else going on today! No excuses! I’ve made a ton of cards, does that count?? I’m excited for your last distress video! And the surprise! Thanks for all your blogging, I like your “voice”.

I love the layout… I always have this problem where by I stare at my photos then my papers and I just don’t know how to get started.

By the way can you show how u do the stitching? It doesn’t look machine stitched and I can’t sew one bit so just wondering if you have any pointers on that.

Thanks and looking forward to your tutorials.

  4. So I know you’re a big fan of Studio Calico – before you started getting kits from them, did you consider or look at any other kit clubs? I’ve been toying with the idea of signing up for a kit club, but there are so many out there to choose from . . .

  5. Lovely page. I really like these papers and embellishments…tho I have never seen them in person or used these products but they look great. Thanks for sharing your B’day shoppin….

  6. Gorgeous layout! I love those doilies and butterflies! Wow! I can’t figure out how you got them cut so straight! They look great.

Sending sunshine your way, though it’s the virtual, heartfelt kind, not the actual sunshine, since I have none here either. In fact, we still have patches of snow on the ground! This in between winter and spring weather really plays with my emotions for some reason. I’ve been depressed for like a week and a half now. And stressed. Unbelievably stressed. It’s just one of those things, I guess. Wishing us both better days to come.
