Hey there. Today, Laurie and I are having a Papertrey Ink doilies day. It’s no secret that Laurie and I are both huge fans of PTI, so this seemed like a natural choice for one of our days of fun. :) Here’s the doily die set that I’m using today. Love ittt!
And you’re not going to believe this, but my goal was to create a manly card today. With doilies? Whaaaa? Yes, it can be done. I swear! Here’s what I came up with:
The keys to this masculine card were the distressing, the Background Basics: Newsprint, and the Background Basics: Gingham. I loveeee all of these patterns today and think the subtlety really works. It’s awesome.
Supplies: Cardstock – Papertrey Ink (Vintage Cream, Enchanted Evening, Spring Rain), Ink – Ranger (Jenni Bowlin Studios Soap Powder and Distress Ink in Tea Dye and Vintage Photo), Stamps – Papertrey Ink (Background Basics: Gingham and Newsprint and Mat Stack 4 – Sentiment), Doily Die – Papertrey Ink (Doily Details Dies by Dawn McVey).
So what do you think? Do you think I pulled a manly doily card off? I can’t wait to see what Laurie has up her sleeve for today. Make sure you hop over to her blog and leave her some love. :)
Also, make sure to check back later today for No-Stress Distress Inks #12. It’s a big one! The video is just over 18 minutes long, and it combines together a lot of techniques that we’ve been learning for the past six weeks. That’ll be up sometime this afternoon. Thanks so much for stopping by today! Your comments mean sooo much to me. You’re all so lovely.
