Love youuu!

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments, e-mails and tweets about the DT position with May Arts. Yes, I’m very excited and can’t wait to get started!!

I wanted to pop in really quickly tonight because I’m absolutely exhausted from my day. I, Britta collegestudent Swiderski, installed my very own window air conditioner. Thanks to the help of a random guy at Home Depot and for my roommate Greg for doing the heavy (super heavy!) lifting, I was able to read the directions, screw in brackets, face the numerous spiders living in that window, did some… ehem… window screen surgery.

Thank goodness for that machine. It’s like heaven in here. It got up to 102 degrees today (as hot as it ever gets here and wayyyy to early in the summer), and boy am I glad for that thing. I have several cuts on my arms and fingers and some bruises to match for that hard labor, but it was definitely worth it. That, and I have disney princess band-aids. Hehe.

Anyways, so I have the video for All About Stamping 5 up on YouTube (you can watch it here), but I’m still working on the PDF and I’m super exhausted. It’s time for a nice, long, comfortable sleep. I’ll be back with a real All About Stamping post tomorrow like usual, okay? So for now, I want to share a card I created for the current CAS-ual Fridays #5 Challenge. Here’s the sketch it’s based off of:

Here’s what I came up with. I really, really wanted to use that Sweet Threads Spirals background stamp from Hero Arts + Basic Grey. :)

Here’s the close up. The circle sentiment strip was created with spellbinders nestabilies circles large – the second largest one and the forth largest one. I cut the cardstock and then embossed it using my embossing mats to get that awesome texture.

Supplies: Cardstock – Papertrey Ink (Vintage Cream, Smokey Shadow and Lavender Moon), Stamps – Hero Arts (CG307 Sweet Threads Spirals) and Papertrey Ink (Mat Stack 1 Collection), Ink – Ranger (Distress Ink in Dusty Condord and Milled Lavender), Buttons – Hero Arts (Hero Hues Floral Mixed Buttons), Pearls – Hero Arts (Hero Hues), Twine – The Twinery (Lilac), Circle Dies – Spellbinders (Nestabilites Circles Large).

Thanks so much for stopping by! I’m off to go fall asleep in about 35 seconds. :)

Love,
Britta
