Shopping Fun!

Hi there! I mentioned recently that I just got in an order from Simon Says Stamp, so I wanted to share a little haul video with you to show you what I’m really excited about. I know I really enjoy watching haul videos and living vicariously through people, so hopefully you feel the same way. If you don’t want to be enabled, I won’t have my feelings hurt if you just skip watching this video. ;) Note that below the video in this post is a full, clickable list of links to all of the products I mention. Hope that helps make your next shopping trip to Simon Says a little easier. Hehe!

Oh, and I mention Jennifer McGuire’s Inspiration Showcase and Amy Tan’s The Good Life (at Big Picture Classes) classes in my video. I thought the links would be helpful. :)

Since we’re on the idea of shopping today, I thought I’d share some of my favorite things I’ve been “shopping” for ideas from lately. A.K.A. what’s inspiring me today. Most of this comes from things I’ve found in my google reader, and since I keep marking them as unread, I figured I better share them! Here’s a list of twelve things inspiring me today:

1. Gradient Cake from papertastebuds

2. Exploded Flowers by Fong Qi Wei via Oh So Beautiful Paper

3. This awesome button tree technique by Lucy Abrams

4. Geralyn Sy is a scrapping genius… I loooove this layout from her (as usual)!

5. Tina from Traveling Mama shared some of her clothing pins, and I’m in love with this necklace

6. I’m always a fan of papercutting, and this display by Annie Vought on papertastebuds is stunning

7. This short wedding dress roundup on Brooklyn Bride has me swooning. This dress in particular is stunning. I would love this dress in a bright color!

8. Lawn Fawn’s inspiration week this week is full of inspiration. I especially loved the My Cup of Tea post. Chari’s and Lea’s creations rocked my world!

9. I can’t get enough of letterpress in bright colors, like these birthday invitations featured on Oh So Beautiful Paper

10. I was lucky enough to see Kathy working on these cards in person. She’s my favorite, and the cards rock, too.

11. This banner by Lexi Bridges on the Crate Paper blog is absolutely stunning

12. I’m a long time follower of Lucy’s Attic 24 blog, and she’s starting a new ripple blanket with many others at the same time. I’m so tempted to join in; these blankets are soooo pretty!

I meant to only list 5 inspiring things, but I had to stop myself at 12. Wow, the amount of pure talent in this world never ceases to amaze me. :) I hope you’ve found your own bit of inspiration today and have a happy Thursday. It’s almost the weekend. Yippee! Thanks for stopping by today.

Love,
Britta

  1. ALWAYS LOVE haul videos!!! Thanks for doing them! Sticky Back Canvas is fun to work with. And that Matte Multi Medium, YES, a must. I use mine a lot. Mostly I use tape, but sometimes use this Matte Multi Medium and I like it. The storage panels – YES! I have had these with the binders they go into and they work real well for EZ mount stamps. There is new Memory Box stuff out! Just released this week. I got a small haul from Ellen Hutson yesterday! LOL! Snowglobe dies in 3 sizes, and I bought some of the cute bear stamps and stamps that go in the large snowglobe die. But there are a lot of new dies Dave put out. I only bought 4. The 3 snowglobe dies and a Wrought Iron Gate that has a cute little keyhole for the gate! And your stamp jig thing – I bet Trixie has it. Maybe she hauled it off and hid it.

  2. Latrice

hey that necklace is from Ruche right? I think I may have to buy it. I’m in love with it too!

Hey Britta, Love the haul video….excited to see what you are going to do with that butterfly die from memory box. Question for you….Can you put that Sticky Back Canvas thru die cutting machines(I have the Sizzix Big Shot)
    Thanks
    Kel

  4. Thanks for the video. I always love to see haul videos. I always learn about new products, it is so much fun. I especially love when you describe why you got a specific item…
I am really interested to see what you are going to do with the sticky back canvas.

  5. I loved your haul video Britta!
Also, wanted to tell you I watched your woven wedding card video today…then used the technique on a card this afternoon. It was SO much fun! I can’t wait to make another one :) Thanks so much for the great tutorials!

  6. So I see you have stocked up on some Inspiration Showcase goodies, I want to see your creations using the techniques from class because I know you are going to rock them! I only got little ATC pieces of canvas & glossy paper for class because I wasn’t sure how much I would use it so I’m ready to see your amazing creations so you can enable me and convince me I need more. HA! And oh my gosh, I was so not expecting to see my project on your blog post! Wow, thanks friend! So glad I could inspire you. I’m hoping that maybe I can figure out how to mount my phone so that maybe I can try my hand at a video showing how to make that project & the treat buckets. I have had lots of comments about both & they are hard to show in pictures. Thanks for sharing so much inspiration in your post, I am in love with the button tree! :)

  7. I liked looking at your list of pretties! I’m afraid to watch the video b/c my finger always ends up hitting “check out” @ SSS when I’m done!

  8. Aww, thanks for linking up my layout, Britta! I’m going to watch your haul video when I get home from work…love watching your videos :)
