Young Crafters Unite Challenge #3 – Masculine Cards

It’s the 23rd, so it’s time for another Young Crafters Unite challenge. I’m really excited about this month’s challenge, because I know we could all use some inspiration when it comes to this one…. Masculine Cards.

Here’s the card that I came up with for this challenge. My go-to color combination on guy cards is blue with neutrals, and I think it works really well here. This one is all about the Faded Jeans Distress Ink – I blended it on with a blending tool and then stamped it with the Hero Arts Envelope Pattern stamp. I love this easy, subtle two-tone look.

That fab woodgrain is Amy Tangerine washi tape across a piece of cardstock. I’m in love with that tape!

Hope you enjoy my card for this month’s challenge. Hop over to the YCU blog to view the AWESOME creations by the design team and to enter your own masculine card to our challenge. One lucky winner will win this, provided by the amazing people at Simon Says Stamp:

Also, we’re pleased to announce that we will be having another blog hop on November 4th and 5th! Participants are limited to 25 per day, so make sure you head over to the YCU blog on Friday the 28th to sign up. Thank you so much for stopping by today!

  1. What a perfect card for a guy. The tone on tone pattern, and metal accents are just spot on for a masculine idea – thanks for the inspiration!

  2. I love this. Very masculine. Very simple. Very eye-catching.

I will have to try to remember to participate in the challenge this month! I’ve had good intentions for the last two, but somehow keep forgetting!
