Just thought I’d stop in today and share a quick card with you. I made this for a friend yesterday to cheer her up from a rough week. Everyone has those weeks where just nothing seems to be going right, and hopefully this card will help turn that around. :) My week has been going pretty well; I’ve been feeling a little better for the last day or so and am just trying to get through to the weekend so I can rest up. I’m looking forward to some crafty, relaxing time. Here’s the card for today:
I made that background with this awesome Indie Bloom stamp set from Hero Arts & Basic Grey using the two butterfly images and the small flower. Here’s a tip for building your own background with stamping: start with the larges image first and then work to the smallest one. It’s always easier to find room for the smaller images than the big ones. I’m loving this Rose Bud Memento ink. It’s so perfect for stamping on kraft, and I love that the marker matches perfectly, so I can color in images to match like I did here.
Hope this card made you smile, too. Make sure you pop over to the Young Crafters Unite blog starting at 12:01 AM Central US time tonight to sign up for the next YCU blog hop! I hope you’ll join us. We’re still working on securing some awesome prizes (we already have two gift certificates generously donated by Simon Says Stamp!), but it promises to be a really fun time. Happy almost weekend!
