I Love New Stamps.

Between feeling a lot more healthy and the good weather putting me in a good mood lately, I’ve actually had some time to sit down and craft completely for FUN in the last week. WOOHOO! I’m so excited for this. I even got around to ordering a Big Shot so I can die cut things again and then will have an extra when I go back to the states (not sure what I’m going to do with it, but it will go to good use for sure).

Thank you so much for all of your happy comments and for sending your love via my blog, twitter and e-mail. It means the world to me. I even got a package from Kat from the UK with a few goodies and a sweet note, and it made my week. Thank you so much, Kat! You’re a sweetheart and I can’t wait to sit down and play with the goodies you sent me.

Anyways, here’s a card that I made the other day using one of my very favorite new stamp sets from Hero Arts called Untitled Love from their lovely Art of the Card Line.

The card also features one of my favorite background stamps ever (from last year’s Basic Grey + Hero Arts release) and cute flower buttons from Pebbles. You could repeat this design with really any stamp from that Hero set. :)

While we’re on the subject of new, I just placed my first overseas Simon Says Stamp order, and I’m counting the days until it gets here. It’s nuts how even in a different country, the prices are awesome. Of course shipping is more than it would be to the US, but everything is marked up really high here (for obvious reasons – it’s hard to get a lot of things here!), so shopping with Simon is still awesome even abroad. :)

If you haven’t seen this yet, make sure you hop over to the Simon Says Stamp store to check out all of the new releases from Lawn Fawn plus some more of the amazing CHA releases. (Side note: notice the newly designed button over on the right of my blog? Oooh! So pretty! Click that button to shop with my affiliate link to Simon. It means a ton to me when you click through my link and help support my blog.) Here are a couple things I can’t WAIT to get my hands on. It’s been a while since I’ve enabled, so I hope you don’t mind. ;)

NEW STUFF THAT I LOVEEEE:

Oh, and I have a little dose of happiness for you today. Something I’ve really noticed about myself is that I really, really, really miss my cat back at home. Really, I miss having a pet, period. So when I see people walking their cute doggies (which is a ton of people – sooo many people have dogs even in the city) or see stray cats, I can’t help but stop and tell them how pretty they are. It makes me happy. I wish I could pet and cuddle with all of them!

This little gal (I think? She looks like a girl to me.) Was sitting on a car right outside my study center the other day. She is beautiful, and she put up with my cooing over her. Ha.

What cat sits on a car like this? Apparently this one.

Don’t forget to smile today. I’ll talk to you soon!

Love,
Britta

  1. You crack me up, bought another Big Shot! Dies are so important though that I would have a tough time being somewhere for awhile and not have my Big Shot. It never hurts to have another Big Shot on hand at home! If your other Big Shot poops out at home, you’ll have this one for a spare. Love your card with the cute houses!! I’ve wondered if Trixie misses you! I bet she does miss you as much as you miss her. That kitty you took pictures of above, she does look like a girl! She looks adorable on the car!

  2. What a very sweet and colorful card, adore the row of houses!

  3. I live in The Netherlands and we have a lot of good webshops for crafting supplies but I love ordering from Simone says stamps. Their shipping prices are good and they have all the new stuff.
    I miss your videos.
    Eveline.

    • I miss my videos, too! :) Don’t worry, they’ll be back someday. I plan on putting up one every once in a while while I’m in Spain, but I’ll be on a fully normal schedule when I return to the US in May!

  4. Beautiful card! I love the soft colors and the embellishments. What a cute cat! She looks really comfy :)

  5. I love this card so much! It just has everything going for it. Love the houses, the buttons, the stamps, the colors…

So happy you were able to order a few goodies for yourself! I can’t wait to see the haul (you’ll post it, right?).
