Hey there! It’s time for another Young Crafters Unite challenge. This is one of my favorite things, so I hope you’ll join us this month!
And here’s my card for this week. Sewing is perfect for accenting and adhering pieces that already have a lot going on in them, like this fun background that I made using this fabulous background hero arts stamp + stazon jet black ink + these watercolor pencils with these brushes.
This took a while to do, but it was really relaxing so I enjoyed it! Just make sure you color everything first and then go in with the water. Trust me, I’ve tried it the other way and the paper gets angry at you! Haha.
Here’s a close up. This gemstone is a little peek at one of the new things from my latest haul video. I shot it last night, so it should be up in a few days!
Make sure to head over to the YCU challenge blog for more inspiration from our fabulous design team as well as details on how to enter your own clear creation! Thanks to our the amazing Simon Says Stamp, our prize for this month will be a $25 gift certificate to their wonderful store. Thanks so much for sponsoring us, Simon!
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I finally went to the doctor yesterday and was able to get some stronger pain killers for my migraines, so that will definitely make my life a little more comfortable for the rest of my time here in Spain (until I can get to my regular doctor and start a medicine regimen that works for preventing them). I also ordered a relaxation and detoxifying yoga DVD, so I hope that will help me out as well. My focus is on being healthy and enjoying my last 30 days here in Spain. Oh, and getting good grades would be nice as well. ;)
Talk to you again soon, lovelies!
P.S. I was lucky enough to be at the FC Barcelona Soccer game on Tuesday night where Leo Messi (arguably the best footballer right now and even in the history of the sport) broke the all-time goals record for the team history. It was unbelievable and I’m so lucky. Here’s an article that talks more about the game. Oh, and ¡BARÇA BARÇA BARÇA! :)
