Hey there! Happy Memorial day to my friends from the USA. Thank you to all our service men and women and their families who sacrifice so much for our peace and safety. You’re in my thoughts and prayers not only today, but every day as well. The boys and I are grilling and trying to stay cool in this crazy 80 degree weather we’re having today. Thankfully (I think?) a huge thunderstorm is on its way in with some nice cool and sunny weather. I’m definitely looking forward to the weather this week. 65 degrees, low humidity and sunny. My favorite.
I wanted to continue my “all with one stamp set” series by showing off a really functional one from Hero Arts: CL544 Big Ticket. I couldn’t resist making two cards with it!
This first card focuses on the ticket image and making an awesome pattern with it. How cool would this look be on a scrapbook page?! That would be awesome. I used two copics – V04 and V05 to color in everything. Yup, the color difference between kraft and white makes that much of a difference in the coloring! I like how the tickets still seem to coordinate, even though they’re on different paper.
This next one takes advantage of the great sentiments meant to fit in the center of the ticket. I love these rectangular sentiments and how easy they repeat to create a CAS card.
I stamped the “A Great Big Hello” in Jenni Bowlin Studios Spice Tin ink (my favorite navy!) and then used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to help line up the sentiment again to stamp in Pool Shadow ink from Hero Arts. I love this look, and it was super easy to do.
Hope your week is off to a great start! I’ll be back tomorrow with a fun blog hop and then, later in the day, with the winners of the giveaways from last week. Yay! Also, make sure you’re following my Facebook page. You never know when I might throw a giveaway up there. ;)
Oh, and make sure to check out my Garage Sale section on my website. I just uploaded TONS and TONS of really great product that I’m clearing out of my stash. I would love to find a new home for them!
