It’s the 23rd, so you know what that means? It’s time for another challenge over at the YCU blog!
There are so many possibilities with this challenge. I love it! Here’s what I came up with using one of my current very favorite stamp sets, Flutter By from Lawn Fawn.
I wanted to create the feelings of a real garden – dimension, vidid colors and a sense of motion. The wonderful stained glass-like appearance of these images was really fun to fill in with some of my favorite colors of Copic Markers (see the supply list below for links to all of the specific colors!), and I cut out all of the shapes and then layered them together. I even stamped an extra butterfly wing to place behind the front one (curled just a little with my fingers for dimension). This makes such a difference and gives the arrangement a sense of movement. The sentiment is from another one of my favorites, Many Thanks by Lawn Fawn. Lots of Lawn Fawn love here!
Make sure to hop over to the Young Crafters Unite blog for all the details on how to enter your own creation inspired by this challenge theme. I’m predicting we’ll have lots of wonderful submissions for this one!
We are so lucky as to be sponsored by the awesome Simon Says Stamp for this challenge. They are giving one lucky winner a $25 gift certificate to their online store! If you haven’t checked out their online store before, it’s totally worth your time. Thank you so much, Simon Says Stamp!
Thanks for stopping by today. I’ll be back later today with the giveaway post + the weekly video tutorial. I just wanted to make sure my YCU post would be up in time, so I’m going to post things separately today. See you later today with more fun!
