Hey there! It’s been crazy busy around here with some… ehem… technical difficulties. I’m working on my taxes (I have an extension because I was out of the country), and I’ve had issues with not one but TWO printers, my own computer, and THEN my cable and internet this morning. Talk about stressful! I think it’s all my taxes fault, though, so as soon as I get those babies sent off then I have a feeling everything will *magically* be error-free again. Stress tends to work that way in my world. Ha!
Anyways, so here’s to a successful evening of tax preparation and getting a lot of money back. (At least, that’s what I’m hoping for!) Here’s the post I’ve been meaning to share with you before all of my difficulties. ;)
I wanted to feature this awesome stamp set by My Favorite Things – Four Point Frame. The problem is, the product image doesn’t even fully explain just how many stamps you receive in this set. It’s a great value for a 6 by 8 set of stamps PLUS a wonderfully-shaped steel die. I love this set!
Here’s the set how it comes in the packaging. That’s a ton of awesome stamps! These would be so great for scrapbook pages, too. It would be so fun to do a layout with a ton of these labels + the inspirational stamps. Here’s what I came up with to show some of my favorite elements from the set:
The “Be Brave” stamp is great for SO many occasions. From just having a bad week to healing from a surgery or medical treatment, I love that this set is great for empowering and inspiring. Great for layouts and cards! To bring in a little elegant texture, I stamped the fun text background stamp in some Malted Milk Jenni Bowlin Studios ink, and I also stamped the floral sprig all over the purple card base (from the Hero Arts Floral purples – I love that paper so much!) in Pool Hero Arts Shadow ink.
To really add some pizzaz, I used the wonderful die cut shape as a guide to pierce holes about 1/8″ apart (using my very favorite craft pick + the sew easy craft mat) and stitched it with 3 strands of a dark purple embroidery floss. The stars are my current favorite little embellishment, Studio Calico Wood Veneer Tiny Stars colored with a Dusty Concord Distress Marker. This color was perfect to compliment the rest of the card.
Because I had added stitching all around the focal label, I had a handy place to work in an inspirational quote on the inside of the card. It’s simple and a great personal touch to add a little something to the inside. :) That’s just one more way to work in another one of the awesome stamps in this Four Point Frame set!
I hope you liked my take on this sweet stamp set! When I get some spare time, I would love to create a layout with this set to really show its versatility. Don’t worry, I’ll definitely share that when I get it done!
I couldn’t help leaving without a little enabling. The new Limited Edition Summer Distress Inks by Tim Holtz were announced yesterday, and I can’t wait to get these GORGEOUS new colors in my hot little hands! You can order them right now from Simon Says Stamp. You better snap them up while you can – they’re limited edition, so they won’t be around for very long! I just wanted to let you know so you don’t miss out on this super cute colors. :)
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Back to tax-prepping I go. I’m hoping to save up some energy and time so that I can get the next part of the Configurations Tray done. I can’t wait to see what happens next on that, either!
