You asked for it and here it is. Part one of my Europe trip Tim Holtz Configurations Print Tray! This part is definitely the least amount of “fun,” but it’s also where you build a great base to make art upon. That’s why it’s important to take your time here! And time I took. This little bugger has already taken about 8 hours. Thankfully, it’s almost all been pretty easy once I got into the groove. There’s nothing like doing 20 of something to get you in a groove. Ha!
Next week will be part two. I think it’s going to take two more videos to finish this tray off, but we’ll see how next week goes. ;) I have to be completely honest and say that I’m pretty impressed with how the project is coming along so far. The tissue tape + Matte Multi Medium is an absolutely winning combination. Here’s a look at the tray in progress:
(Sorry about the color on this first pic – will snap a new one as soon as I have some natural light!)
I’m feeling good about the colors so far. This is all going to come together as I add in memorabilia. The Abroad 6 by 6 paper pad is going to be awesome for more accents – I love the red-orange paper accents already!
Yup, that’s some tissue tape goodness. I think I’m going to pick up a new pack now that I’ve almost finished mine off! Haha.
I hope this first installment of the Configurations Tray is to your liking. If you’ve been debating what to do with your tray (or buying one), just do it. Start with the base this week and we can do it together! I’d love to see the links to your projects if you play along with me. Now if I could just be this motivated to go grocery shopping, that would be great. Anyone have an advice on that one? Ha.
