Lawnscaping Challenge #35: Patterned Paper

It’s another Monday and that means it’s about time for another for another Lawnscaping Challenge!

It’s time to play with some more Lawn Fawn goodness! This week, the focus is on patterned paper, so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to mix some of the newer Bright Side collection with an older set – Judy’s Blooms. I decided to try something a little different for me and use White Distress Stain on the lovely flower pattern paper from the Bright Side paper pad. I added two layers of the stain, and this allows the pattern to be part of the card without overwhelming the other elements. I love this look!

I stamped the flower onto some contrasting purple patterned paper three times, cut the flowers out and then pieced them together with some foam adhesive. I love to accentuate the layers here! To pull everything together, I chose a simple sentiment from my very favorite sentiment set, Sophie’s Sentiments, cut the ends into a banner, and added colored pearls and some fab Lawn Fawn twine.

Make sure to hop over to Simon Says Stamp and thank them for supporting our Lawnscaping Challenge by supporting their store! They’re so awesome that they’ve given us a $25 dollar gift certificate to the Simon Says store that goes to the winner of this challenge. Thanks, Simon!

Good idea to tone down the background paper. It’s pretty bright. That makes the flower really shine.

  2. Love the look of the white! It sort of looks like vellum :) A perfect way to tone a busy pattern down.
