List It Yourself Stamp Set Release Blog Hop!

I’m here today to celebrate the the release of another fantastic stamp set from Creativity Prompt: List It Yourself. I have to cards to share with you, and I hope you’ll go check the stamp set out for yourself! You should be arriving here from Alexandra’s fantastic blog. If you’re just seeing this hop right now, you can start here at Monika’s blog. It’s a short hop, and the other two ladies are amazingly talented; you should definitely check it out! You can also see a better look at the stamp set over at Avital’s Creativity Prompt blog.

Here’s the first card I created to show off the stamp set. I used the main frame image and stamped it in Soft Granite ink and then made a notebook page with the fun bold line using Bubblegum Mid-Tone ink and Soft Pool Shadow ink. A perfect notebook page!

I also stamped the tab in pink and then stamped “record” over the top in black along with the “noted” on the main card. These little touches from List It Yourself would be perfect for scrapbooking, journaling and project life! The letters are die cut in white cardstock from the Parker Lowercase Alphabet from Memory Box and then inked with the same Bubblegum ink. They’re the perfect size to coordinate with this stamp set!

I then popped the whole ensemble over a fun card base covered with thick vellum embossed with the Seeing Spots embossing folder. It’s the perfect, upbeat way to pull everything together.

My second card shows off why List It Yourself would be great for scrapbooking and project life.

I stamped the main card and arrows for the list at the same time in Red Royal Mid-Tone Shadow ink onto some white cardstock. Then it was super easy to write my list with my favorite pen and prepare my background. I just stamped the line of arrows over kraft cardstock. The end result is a perfectly on trend with a spunky background against the clean and simple main piece.

Oh, and the letters are die cut the same Parker Alpha die used above from pool cardstock and then covered with glossy accents. This adds the perfect dimension and color contrast to finish everything off.

    Hi Britta,
I’m relatively new to cardmaking and papercrafting, and I don’t know if this is a trend, but I like bold, colourfull and clean designs. Not the overembellished things.
    Greetings botduurmuppet

Oh Britta, I am so glad you are part of this hop because I MUST have this stamp set and I have not heard of this company. Thank you so much for demonstrating how well it will work for cards as well as scrapbooking and project life. LOVE!

Quick question – I have been looking at the Parker alpha die. Do you cut the whole alphabet, do you put bits of paper behind the letters you want, or did you take the die apart? Thanks!

    • So glad to have introduced you to a new company. That means I’m doing my job. YAY! The Parker die is FAB – it works either way if you want to but bits of paper on top of letters or just punch all of them out at once. I usually do the entire alpha in whatever color I’m using (usually white) and then supplement that alphabet with little pieces of paper on the letters I need extra of. You could definitely break them apart because of the way they’re made, but I don’t think I can handle having that many pieces (as someone who loses EVERYTHING). Attaching a picture so you can see! Hope this helps. :)

I think my favorite trend right now is wood veneer. It has got to be my all time favorite embellishment. I love that it’s neutral enough to go with everything, but you can also customize it. Anyway, don’t get me started or I’ll gush forever… =P
Thanks for sharing these great cards! =)

Love your cards, you are so talented. Thanks for sharing your ideas! My favorite trend right now is to try using background stamps in other ways on a card! I also still love using my distress inks ( that will be a trend I will love forever):-)

I like the dies that are matching the stamps. I like to fussy cut but it is nice to have something cut out fast and neat – often neater than I could do it.
