It’s time for a garage sale!

Hey lovlies! This holiday weekend was both fun and productive. I love it when that happens! I want to share a couple bits of news with you today:

Britta-Swiderski-2013-Garage-Sale-Graphic

I’ve re-opened the Garage Sale tab up on the top of my website and have updated it with over 100 new items. I’m moving in a month, so I need to pass on as much as humanly possible! I’m hoping to go through and add even more things later this week, but don’t wait to claim things if you want them! I can always combine shipping if you see something you want later before I’ve mailed things out. So what are you waiting for? Go check it out!

I’ll make sure to post about it on my blog when I add more items to the sale in the coming week.

Britta Swiderski's Portfolio

I’ve made a big decision recently to actively search for a design job. Money is stressing me out, and the best way I can think of to rectify that is to make more of it consistently. So, I’m officially on the job search. Ideally, I would find a part-time gig at a design firm, but I know that’s not how most new jobs work. Because I’m beginning the job search this week, I’ve made my portfolio website all pretty. If you’re interested in seeing the graphic design work I’ve done (or, even better, know someone in the Minneapolis area who is looking to hire a graphic designer) check out my portfolio here. We’ll see what happens. ;)

07-08-13 F713719 Hollywood Decor Reversible Sectional at Sears

With the move to a new apartment (and 200 more square feet! HOORAY!), I’ve been pinning and sketching new decor ideas like a mad woman. This bar setup particularly struck me the other day. I love the bright color and that it’s essentially made out of things they had around the house. We’re on the search for a sectional sofa (or a sofa + chaise) for the livingroom, and I’ve been hunting everywhere for potential ones. If you have a sectional and love it (or hate it, for that matter), please share what you have, where you bought it and what brand it is! The one above is pretty close to what we’re looking for, but the search is still on.

Thanks for all the love on the new class and about all the giveaways last week. I truly have the best friends and blog readers in the whole world! Winners will be posted tomorrow. See you again soon!

Hugs,
Britta

All the best with your job search…I am sure it will not be long before someone in your field scoops you up! We are looking for sectionals too…there is a neat piece called a cuddler and it doesnt take that much room compared to a chaise.
here are some links….http://www.jcpenney.com/dotcom/possibilities-roll-arm-cuddler-sectional-in-geo-fabric/prod.jump?ppId=pp5001470122 and http://www.bassettfurniture.com/Left-Cuddler-Sectional-DZ30900.asp. Hope that helps.

  2. My husband’s company is hiring a graphic designer – but it would require moving to Atlanta. However, Trevor has some college acquaintances whose wives work at The Nerdery – and they are always accepting applications. It’s definitely one of the best places to work in the Twin Cities if even half of what they said is true!

    • Oh snap! Thanks so much for the recommendation! The Nerdery looks awesome! I don’t have that much programing experience, but I wonder if they would take on an intern… ;) You rock! And if I ever plan on moving to ATL, I’ll give you a hollar. Lol!

Have you already browsed ikea our sofa is from there it’s a corner one but they have many more options also one with chaislonge. Ours is a little bit more rustic but they have modern options to and also fabric pics. I live in the Netherlands but think the collection is prettymuch the same world round. With a job I can not help you with sorry. But succes!!!
    Greetings and love Naomi

    Hi Britta,
I just sent you an email about buying a stamp from your garage sale…thanks!
I’m off to check out your Graphic Design website…Best of luck to you in your job search. You may actually be better off since you’re looking for part time. With Obama Care, a lot of employers don’t want full timers, as they don’t want to insure them :-(
I’m looking forward to hearing from you…take care, sweetie!

  5. After many many sofas, just make sure it is comfortable (of course it has to look good too)…… ;)
