I’m back after scribbling many notes and going through endless amounts of catalogs, and I’m so excited to share about my favorite collections from the CHA show. To make my decisions easier, I’ve broken my favorite collections down into 8 categories of Basics, Travel, Spring/Happy, Girl/Vintage, Garden/Home, Summer, Love and General/Boy/Family. I’ll be sharing my favorites from the first four categories today and the latter four in my next post.
Please note that I think all of these collections are absolutely fantastic! I chose my favorites based off of trends, diversity amongst my picks and what I think you will like as well. I included runners-up for each category so that I could share other loves that I have. Please do check out all the ones you find interesting and let me know which collections are your favorites in the comments on this post!

BASICS – Lawn Fawn – Let’s Polka
Why this is awesome: This is my favorite basics collection not only of this year but of these last five years. Lawn Fawn has a knack for choosing just the exact right colors for everyone to use, and there’s a little something for everyone on these patterns: small dots, larger dots, hand drawn hearts and stripes. The accessories to this collection are perfectly on point for all-year round happiness. The flair is happy and bright, and the dotted note cards are absolutely fabulous.
Favorite items: Patterned Paper – Freshly Cut Grass Polka, Hippo Polka, Wild Rose Line Dance, Mermaid Line Dance – Let’s Polka Flair, 6×6 Mini Paper Pad, Dotted Notecards + Envelopes, Cloudy Bakers Hemp

TRAVEL – Basic Grey – Mon Ami by Kelly Purkey
Why this is awesome: Even though this is considered a “mini” collection from Basic Grey, everything that KP and team have put together here is great for documenting travel no matter where you are headed. The graphic patterns of this collection that aren’t directly travel-related are insanely fresh and inspiring. It’s the time of the year where you see a million and a half travel collections, and even the travel motifs in this collection feel fresh. I love it!

SPRING/HAPPY – Chic Tags – Cloud 9
Why this is awesome: Cloud 9 was another new-to-me company, but I was so impressed by their Cloud 9 line that I wanted to highlight it today instead of in my new companies post. The patterned papers in the line are nice, especially Celebrate (2nd photo), but the accessories to this line are what really makes it shine. The gold-foiled specialty paper (3rd photo) and journaling cards (6th photo) fulfill my desire for everything gold, while the 2 x 2 decorative squares (bottom left, 4th picture) and wood veneer sequins (5th photo) are sure to be essentials on my crafting desk.
Favorite items: Patterned Paper – Celebrate, Lovely – Sunday Best Gold Foiled Specialty Paper, Gold Cards (gold foil!), Sequins Wood Veneer, 2×2 Pocket Squares

GIRL/VINTAGE – Crate Paper – Styleboard by Maggie Holmes
Why this is awesome: Maggie Holmes has stunned me once more with her new Styleboard line. The papers are artistic and free, as is Maggie’s style, but the embellishments are where this line really shines. Gold foil, glitter and rub-ons abound in this collection, but the gold accents are used very tastefully. I’ve been shying away from rub-ons for years, but these Gold Rub-Ons have me wanting to give them a try again. The gold word labels are not only gold foil but have the letters embossed like they came out of an old fashioned Dymo machine. Any crafter of any style would be hard pressed NOT to find at least one thing to fall in love with here.
Favorite items: Patterned Paper – Melody, Pretty Palette, So Lovely – Kraft Paper with Gold Foil, Gold Rub-Ons, Gold Word Labels, Decorative Tape, Doily Embossing Folder

I love your CHA posts Britta! Thanks so much for sharing. I am very excited about a lot of these lines as well. :) I think Maggie Holmes new line is possibly my number one favorite that I have seen from CHA. :)
I am just in love with all the Lawn Fawn Releases as I always have been! Everything that they create is pure Magic!
Oh of course! Their new lines rock my socks off. It’s hard not to choose them for my favorites of everything. Haha! It’s always good to diversify and give other companies some good press, too. :)
