Finally, I’m here to share all about my experience at Scrapfest last weekend. I’ve been down and out all day long with a really terrible migraine (brought on by pushing myself a little too hard over the past several days :/), but I’m feeling a lot better after napping for most of the afternoon. Now it’s time to share all about this awesome event I attended for the 4th time in a row last weekend. The crafting, the people and the shopping were so much fun!
I decided to do something similar to last year and make a video talking about the experience to make this post a little less photo-heavy. Hope you enjoy it! Make sure to watch to the end of the video for a chance to enter a little giveaway. :)
By the way, if you’re not able to get these products at your local stores yet, they’re ALL available over at Simon Says Stamp now! Here’s a little linky thing so you can shop away. :)
Here are the two cards I mentioned that I made for card swap with the Hero Arts girls. I had a ton of fun playing around with some of my favorite Hero stamps. :)
I also got the chance to hang out with some really amazing people. Along with blog readers, new friends and people I’ve known for a while, I met some friends in real life that had known online for a while. It was great! Here I am with April Foster and Kelly Purkey at the Studio Calico table. I bought a TON of stuff from them ;) Nicole Harper and April’s adorable husband, Greg, were also there. I loved seeing all of them!
I also got to take class from the amazing Jennifer McGuire and Shari Carroll. They teach me so many cool tricks and tips every time I get to learn from them. I love it! Not to mention, they’re really fun to just hang out with. :)
Me with THE Tim Holtz. He’s so awesome! I also loved taking his class and learned a ton of new little tidbits. I can’t wait to pass on all of the little things I picked up this weekend onto my blog readers. :)
This is our little group after our Hero Arts dinner. We had so much fun chatting and eating that it took us 2.5 hours to finish our meal! It was wonderful, even if I was the baby there ;)
I can’t help sharing this photo, too. It’s Joe and Jake when we went to the mall on Sunday. All four of us went for a roomie shopping trip at the mall. I had SO much fun playing dress up with the guys and helping them buy clothes. It was awesome. One of my favorite things for sure. ;)
I’ve put together a little slideshow of the weekend in photos over on flickr, so if you want to watch that (with captions if you click the “show details” box in the upper right corner!), click here:
I hope you’ve enjoyed this look into my super fun weekend at Scrapfest. Make sure to leave a comment on this post with what you would like to purchase next. You have until 11:59 central time on September 30th to leave a comment on this post to be entered to win a little package of goodies that I picked up from Scrapfest. :)
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Maybe someday I’ll be able to meet all of you in real life. That would be so awesome! I’m off to go write up some more blog posts. I’ve been holding out of you lately! ;)
P.S. The AMAZING Jake just scored an awesome internship with isportsweb.com as their Packer correspondant. I’m so proud of him! We went out to dinner to celebrate last night. He’s a sports journalism major and basically lives and breathes sports, so this is an amazing opportunity for him. Congrats, Jake! His first article just went live here. Check it out and leave him some love if you want to. That would mean so much to me!
