Hi there! It’s the first Monday of the month, so it’s time to share my card with you for the next Lawnscaping Challenge. Today, we’re focusing on Tags and Treat Bags. This is such a natural fit for early December. I can’t wait to see what everyone makes to play along!
I decided to make tags for Christmas presents for my family and roommates. First, I started out with my favorite die set to turn into tags – Labels Four Nestabilities from Spellbinders – and cut several shapes out of some Neenah Solar White cardstock. I used an exacto knife to just trim off the very bottom parts of the die cut and punched a whole with my Crop-A-Dile through the entire stack and once. Viola! Christmas tags ready to decorate.
Next, I colored all of the tags with the fab colors from the Winter Seasonal Distress Inks and a blending tool (plus Fired Brick, Pine Needles and Black Soot around the corresponding colors for a little bit of depth) and stamped out these cute snowmen and their accessories with the Making Frosty Friends stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I colored everything with copics (see supply list for the colors used), cut them out and adhered them down. Easy, simple and perfect for Christmas gifts!
To top everything off, I wrote the names of the recipients either directly on the snowmen or on labels (punched with my favorite EK Success Photo Labels punch) and added some Lemon Drop twine at the top. The little bow is adhered with Glossy Accents. :) Here’s a close-up of the two types of tags:
