Merry Christmas from the Swiderski Household!

Hello and Merry Christmas! I wanted to pop in and share a couple cards and a few pictures with you today to celebrate the holiday season. I’m having a fabulous day with my family and am enjoying great food and (hopefully) some great football.

I wanted to share the card that I made several iterations of for this year’s Christmas cards to send out. Of course, I’m still in the process of addressing and signing them… maybe I should’ve made New Years cards? Haha! This card is based off of one from Lesson 2 of my Quick and Easy Holiday Cards book. Who knew I would use my own ebook to make my own cards? ;)

Check out the lesson post here for more information about these cards. I hope the recipients like them!

And here’s as close-up. Now I should really get my butt in gear to send these out… lol!

I wanted to share a few pictures I’ve taken today and yesterday of our wonderful holiday celebrations. It’s so wonderful to be home and with my family. I hope your heart is feeling as full and blessed as mine is today and during this holiday season. Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Angels are always some of my favorite decorations for Christmas. This one is so pretty sitting by our livingroom window.

Christmas bows. Lovely.

Probably my mom’s favorite gift was a large bag of licorice from my brother that had already been opened to “age” (she likes it the best when it’s stale… ha). She’s so cute. Isn’t my mom gorgeous?!

My has such awesome taste for decorating. This is how she set up the table for our Christmas dinner.

This is me playing with my new camera lens (the 50mm/1.8D AF for my Nikon D90) and taking it completely out of focus. I love the glittery effect here. :)

Another Christmas tree shot. For the last two years, my mom has set up a small (4 foot) tree on top of a table in the livingroom. It works really well and makes for some really nice close-ups like this one.

Blue Eyes just kind of looks at everyone and wonders what’s going on. I can’t believe he’s almost 11 now… he’s still just a baby in my eyes.

This is one of my favorite parts of the holiday decorations. Our Disney tree hangs out in the kitchen and is covered with pretty Mickey ears. My parents LOVE Disney World.

Our mantle filled with Swedish prettiness. Dala horses and tomtes (elves) have always been a part of Christmas for me.

Sending warm Christmas and holiday wishes from my family to yours. See you tomorrow for another Video Tutorial Monday!

Love,
Britta

  1. Blue Eyes is adorable! And yes, your mom is gorgeous! Love your cards! So I guess Trixie knows you are gone now for awhile. Or I guess she doesn’t know for how long. I have a friend that likes Peeps, but they have to be aged. She pokes holes in the package and lets it sit for months. Then she can eat them she says! I ate too much today, but that is part of Christmas! Happy Holidays!
