Four weeks in a row with a video tutorial for ya! Awesome. :) The beginning of this week was the craziest week yet: I had a big project due yesterday and pulled an almost-all-nighter to get everything done in time. (My headache kept me from working on it over the weekend… that jerk!) Everything turned out to my liking, though, and now I have the rest of the week to work on more cards, the papergrace website redesign (my current freelance project) and spend time with my sweetie for Valentine’s day tomorrow and his birthday on Friday. Excited!
Here’s the video for today. I wanted to try another method of neon color mixing. I shared this technique on this post a while back, but I knew this new With Flair stamp set from Technique Tuesday would be a fantastic time to spend a little more time playing with neons. Enjoy the video!
Here’s a look at the finished card:
Thanks to the graphic nature of this fab stamp set, the neons can really hold their own. I love the combination of Pink Neon and Blue Neon, but you can try other color combinations and see what speaks to you! I kept things simple by embellishing with just a punched scalloped edge and a little (tiny!) corner rounding.
Thanks for stopping by and happy long weekend! I know at least around here, it feels like today is the last day of the week with Valentine’s day being tomorrow. I’m loving this week so much already. :) Let me know in the comments below what you think of this technique and what you’d like to see for my next video tutorial. I’m on a roll now, so I’m going to keep this going as long as I possibly can!
