Embossing Paste + Dylusions Spray Inks

Thanks for all of your lovely comments, tweets and wishes in response to yesterday’s post! I’m excited, too. :) I have another video for you this week using a new (to me) product. It’s embossing paste, and I’m in love.

It comes in 4 different colors, and the metallic gold and silver ones are new from this last CHA. I’ve been playing a bit with these and there are sooo many possibilities. This technique here hinges on the funny interaction with the embossing paste and the Dylusions spray inks. The paste actually re-activates some of the color and changes the metallic color of the paste; it creates this fantastic mermaid-tail-like effect.

Here’s a great look at those colors from the spray inks. I love how vibrant they are! Here, I used Fresh Lime, Vibrant Turquoise and London Blue. These mists are my favorite. The sentiment is from the KP Instalove set stamped in Navy Mid-Tone Shadow ink (I just got this and I’m in LOVE), and it’s stamped on a die cut from the Lawn Fawn A Birdie Told Me dies set.

Here’s how the card looks when the light hits it. The metallic properties of the embossing paste really shine; it’s beautiful!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Happy almost weekend! I’m going to be doing some spring cleaning around here and getting ready to go back to class again. Is spring break almost over already?! I can’t believe it. Time flies when you’re having fun.
